very well, so search for anything before Oct 2017 if you want to split hairs. The data shows that the keyword didn't start trending until Nov.

  • 23andMe founder Anne Wojcicki says ex-husband Sergey Brin wears strange shoes because he is creative.
Anne Wojcicki, the chief executive of DNA testing startup 23andMe, has an impressive track record building an innovative and successful business from scratch.
In a profile in the New York Times this week, we learned about another side of Wojcicki: her experience moving on from relationships with two very high-profile exes. Wojcicki was married to Google co-founder Sergey Brin, and later dated baseball star Alex Rodriguez, aka A-Rod.
Given that the story was published in the NYT's "Style" section, rather than in the "Business" section, the focus of the piece by Maureen Dowd is not as bewildering as it might at first sound.
And the piece provided some interesting insight into Wojcicki, one of the leading entrepreneurs in healthcare today.

Sergey Brin, the multi-multi billionaire Google co-founder, has divorced his wife of eight years. Brin and Anne Wojcicki, sister of YouTube chief Susan Wojcicki, tied the knot in 2007 and have two children together. Business Insider is reporting that the divorce was finalized in early May.
The power couple had been separated since 2013 when Brin moved out of their $7 million home in Los Altos, Calif. while dating Google Glass marketer Amanda Rosenberg. "It was inappropriate," a Vanity Fair source said of the relationship, which has since ended. Both Brin and Wojcicki have gone on to date other people, BI reports.
Details regarding child custody and the financial settlement between Wojcicki and Brin, whose estimated worth is pegged at $30 billion, were not released. According to reports, a prenuptial agreement was in place.
Wojcicki is the founder of 23andMe, a genetic-testing company. In 2013 she was dubbed "The Most Daring CEO in America" by Fast Company. Brin and Larry Page founded Google in 1998 while they were both Ph.D. students at Stanford University, and the rest is search engine history.

Yankees designated hitter Alex Rodriguez reportedly has a new love interest—and she’s a bit of a departure from his past girlfriends. A-Rod, who said today that he plans to retire after next season, is said to be dating Anne Wojcicki, the C.E.O. and co-founder of billion-dollar personal genomics analytics start-up23andMe and the ex-wife of Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Page Six reports.
Wojcicki and Brin were married for about eight years and have two children together. The couple separated in 2013, and Brin began seeing a woman at Google named Amanda Rosenberg who worked in the company’s Google Glass division. Wojcicki was apparently blindsided by the affairVanity Fair reported at the time. Brin and Rosenberg are reportedly no longer together. Brin and Wojcicki divorced in June 2015, and are raising their children as a team. Rodriguez split with his ex, former professional wrestler Torrie Wilson, a year ago.
Wojcicki’s start-up, 23andMe, saw its value skyrocket to $1.03 billion last year after raising $115 million in venture-capital funding. Her company’s investors include Google and Brin and Fidelity and Johnson & Johnson. In 2014, the F.D.A. told 23andMe it could no longer market its DNA-testing kit in the U.S., which the agency was concerned could provide inaccurate information about consumers’ health. Last year, the company released a new test complying with the F.D.A.’s guidelines, becoming the first approved direct-to-consumer genetics-testing product.

Summary

Trade issues dominate market action.
The dollar is the world’s reserve currency - President Xi’s policies could challenge that position.
The U.S. currency is the benchmark pricing mechanism for most commodities.
Retaliation could unseat U.S. debt and the dollar.
China is the world’s leading consumer of commodities, and a new contract could change the world of raw materials.
At the October Party Congress in Beijing, President Xi cemented his role as the most powerful leader of the world's most populous nation since Chairman Mao. The Chinese leader is virtually guaranteed a lifetime position because of his popularity within the party and most of the 1.4 billion Chinese who continue to see their standards of living rise.
In 2016, when the Chinese stock market plunged because of a slowdown in economic growth, President Xi rolled out his policy of the "new normal" that put China on a course of slower, but stable growth. The leader turned water into wine and conditions quickly improved in the nation. At the Party Congress, the leader promised to adopt policies that will reduce pollution, increase the size of China's middle class, and grow the defense forces into a "world-class military" by 2050.
On the international scene, President Xi has demonstrated unique diplomatic skills. He has forged relationships with many world leaders including U.S. President Trump. Xi has been an advocate of globalism, and in a speech on April 10, it was the President of China who took a conciliatory tone in the current environment of tariffs and the potential of a trade war causing markets to recover.
Meanwhile, it is no secret that China is making moves to increase their profile in the world. The nation has been working with supranational institutions like the World Bank and IMF to make the yuan a convertible currency. At the same time, the Chinese economy will soon overtake the U.S. as the world's largest.
The U.S. is currently looking to level the playing field for international trade, and while China will likely play ball with the Trump administration, they will be a formidable foe when it comes to negotiations. China's ultimate goal is to take a much larger role in the international economy, and one sign of their plans is a new futures contract for crude oil that uses the Chinese currency as a pricing mechanism on the Shanghai International Energy Exchange.
