House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) said Tuesday that he will seek to "impeach" FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein if they decline to hand over the document used to launch the FBI's probe into possible collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia's meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
"I can tell you that we're not going to just hold in contempt, we will have a plan to hold in contempt and impeach," Nunes said on Fox News's "The Ingraham Angle."
Asked host Laura Ingraham if he was serious about impeaching Wray, Nunes replied: "Absolutely."
Nunes appeared exasperated on Tuesday with the FBI's refusal to turn over to the intelligence committee an unredacted version of the two-page document used to justify the law enforcement investigation into the Trump campaign's contacts with Moscow.
The New York Times reported in December that the investigation was launched after U.S. officials received a tip that George Papadopoulos, a former Trump campaign adviser, had been told that Moscow had damaging information on 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.

Ezra Cohen-Watnick Joining Justice Department as National Security Adviser to Jeff Sessions
(Trust Me Jeff Sessions Needs This to Be Pushed to Investigate!!)
Former Trump White House official Ezra Cohen-Watnick is joining the Department of Justice as a national security adviser to Attorney General Jeff Sessions, a source confirmed on Wednesday.
His first day will be Monday, according to a source familiar with his appointment.
“Just like at the NSC, I expect Ezra to prioritize strengthening the United States’ posture against Russia, China and Iran as one of his top priorities,” the source said.
“With the Justice Department in charge of the domestic side of national security, he’ll find ways to make sure these countries do not threaten U.S. sovereignty.”
The appointment marks a return to the administration for the 31-year-old, who was first brought into the White House by former National Security Adviser Army Lt. Gen. (Ret.) Michael Flynn.
He served at the National Security Council as the senior director for intelligence programs, but resigned in August over policy differences with Flynn’s successor, Army Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster. Since then, he has been working at tech company Oracle.
Cohen-Watnick’s appointment comes only days after the departure of McMaster, but had been discussed for months, according to the source.
Cohen-Watnick was blamed for giving House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes (R-CA) classified information that proved the Obama administration had unmasked members of the Trump campaign, but that has been disputed.
His return follows recent personnel changes that have shifted towards Trump loyalists.
Amb. John Bolton began as national security adviser on Monday, and has been mandated to stop leaks emanating from the NSC. He is also expected to purge those who are not on board on with Trump’s national security agenda.

Justice Dept. turns over document that launched Russia probe
A day after Rep. Devin Nunes, chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, threatened the impeachment of FBI Director Christopher Wray and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, the Justice Department on Wednesday turned over the document that launched the bureau’s Russia investigation in 2016, cooling the latest confrontation between House Republicans and intelligence community leaders.
Nunes, a California Republican, had demanded an unredacted version of the document by Wednesday afternoon, and the Justice Department provided one with a few redactions that it deemed necessary for national security. Nunes praised the cooperation and said the document would aid his committee’s “ongoing investigation” of the department and the FBI.

Russia rejects Trump's 'Twitter diplomacy' as dangerous in Syrian crisis
After President Trump fired off a tweet Wednesday to warn Russia to "get ready" for U.S. missiles in Syria in retaliation of an alleged chemical attack, the Kremlin countered that more "serious approaches" were needed to combat the fragile Mideast crisis.
"We do not participate in Twitter diplomacy," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said in a statement. "We support serious approaches. We continue to believe that it is important not to take steps that could harm an already fragile situation."
Trump has threatened military action following a suspected chemical attack on the rebel-held town of Douma, near Damascus, Saturday that killed at least 40 people, many of them children.
The Syrian government and Russia, a close ally of the Bashar Assad regime, have denied a chemical attack occurred.
Syria’s Foreign Ministry accused Washington of using the alleged chemical attack as a pretext for a strike.
“We are not surprised by this reckless escalation from a regime like the one in the United States, which has and continues to sponsor terrorism in Syria,” the ministry said in a statement carried by state media.
The ministry said recent statements from Washington “show (the Trump administration) lacks not only principles and values but also wisdom and logic and that in itself endangers international peace and security.”
Russia’s ambassador to Lebanon, Alexander Zasypkin, told Hezbollah’s Al-Manar TV station that any missiles fired at Syria would be shot down. Hezbollah is closely allied with Iran, another Assad supporter.
“If there is a strike by the Americans, then … the missiles will be downed and the source of the missiles targeted,” Zasypkin said. He said he was referring to a statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Russian armed forces chief of staff.
That, in turn, triggered a tweetstorm from Trump, who fired back: "Russia vows to shoot down any and all missiles fired at Syria. Get ready Russia, because they will be coming, nice and new and 'smart!' You shouldn’t be partners with a Gas Killing Animal who kills his people and enjoys it
